Marina for fresh skippers

First cruise as captain

Are you still holding your wet skipper's licence in your hand and your mind is already racing as you stand at the helm of a sailing boat and set sail on your first voyage as a skipper, to meet new adventures? A once-in-a-lifetime feeling. To avoid this moment becoming your nightmare, you need to choose the marina you sail from carefully. Because this time, it really will be up to you - there will be an experienced skipper on hand to give advice and be on hand (on the course) at all times.

Marina suitable for first sailing

One of the friendliest marinas for beginners is the Zaton marina. If you need a place around you, like when you first get out of a Citroen C1 and into a truck, then Zaton Marina fits the bill. There's so much room that you could probably maneuver a giant ocean liner without a problem. Plus, it's nicely tidy in the lee, so whether it's a bura or a yugo, the water level in the marina is like no wind.

Choosing a boat

If you take a slightly battered boat from Dream yacht, you can be sure that the new scratch will not make any wrinkles. But of course it has its ALE!!!! sometimes the boats from Dream aren't quite right, so it's important to be really careful when taking over the boat, so that you don't have 3 out of 4 toilets on the boat clogged...then it would be on you and if someone noticed it when taking over the boat, then it wouldn't be a cheap affair.

When the captain of our crew announced over a beer last winter, “This year we’re going yachting in Corsica, guys,” I pictured the usual sunbathing, the occasional grilled fish, and calm seas. How wrong I was! Corsica, that rugged “Island of Beauty,” doesn’t give you anything for free. But what it offers you in exchange for a little sailor’s sweat will stay with you forever.

Sailing and freediving: The perfect harmony of wind and silence beneath the surface

For sailors, the sea is a place of endless adventure and freedom. At the same time, however, this dynamic environment presents unexpected challenges that require quick reactions, a cool head, and specific skills. That is precisely why sailing and freediving are becoming an increasingly popular and natural combination. This sport, known for its simplicity and effectiveness, offers sailors much more than just a recreational activity—it is a key tool for safety, problem-solving, and a deeper connection with the ocean.

From the Deck to the Wall: How to Combine a Passion for Sailing and Climbing

Adventure tourism is attracting more and more people who don’t want to just lie idly on the beach during their vacation. They’re looking for excitement, physical activity, and unforgettable experiences. That’s exactly why yachting in Croatia and rock climbing are the perfect combination for all active travelers.
Many sailors head to the Adriatic for its perfect blend of turquoise waters, excellent cuisine, and pleasant climate. But when, after a full day of sailing and anchoring the boat, stiff joints start craving action, Croatia’s rugged coastline—with over a thousand islands—offers the perfect playground. Rock faces rising directly from the waves present a challenge that will take your sailing to a whole new level.
